When a woman dances with a man she is able to experience following. But in dancing this is not a passive experience, and in this picture I think there is a great lesson about our relationship to God.
Lead and follow in dance is a constantly engaged experience. Leading itself is actually comprised mostly of listening and waiting, and then timing the action of leads precisely and without delay. But most of leading is listening and, well, following.
