Sanctification and justification are foundational concepts of the gospel to understand, but many Christians confuse the two because they grow up with religion.
Hello again Tudor. This was a post on a thread about suicide. It’s been trending here in my country lately because a 20-year-old girl (maybe 19) who took her own life was the daughter of a well-known news anchor. Someone posted a question about it, and while I kind of know what to say, I’m honestly confused about some other things.
I’ve struggled with depression myself since I was young. It even returned after I accepted Christ, which at one point made me question my faith, my existence, and so much more. But understanding God’s sovereignty has really helped me surrender everything to Him and accept that there’s a purpose behind those overwhelming emotions. Praise God that He granted me peace.
Also, I’m really grateful that God has used you to help me learn so many things. You’ve been very helpful—thank you.
Anyway, here’s the post. I’d appreciate some clarification too:
“To those who are reading the Bible and doing Bible study, I want to hear your thoughts on the topic of suicide—if a person commits suicide, do they still have a chance to repent and go to heaven? Is it an excuse, or maybe an exception, since the person isn’t in their right mind? Please be kind. I want to hear sound views on this.”
I’ve also noticed a lot of debate around this. Some people say God took her life, referencing Job 1:21 (“The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away”), while others say it was her own choice. I’d like to hear your thoughts on tragedies like this. It might be too much to ask for a detailed video about it so I can refer others to it, but any thoughts are appreciated.
Mona, see the videos I referenced above to which you said that you would check out, as they discuss these things and then see what you think as a result of them
Sorry, I tried to find those episodes, but unfortunately I couldn’t locate them. I visited your website and noticed you have more videos there that haven’t been published on your YouTube channel yet. I looked for that episode, but the more I scrolled through all the videos, the site kept crashing.😒
Tudor, I have a question. This was a post by a father who recently lost his 20-year-old daughter to suicide. What are your thoughts?
I don't see any post but in my salvation series there's an episode where we talk about suicide. Actually two, one on King Saul.
There are 2 or 3 videos I haven’t watched in your Salvation series. In which part of the series can I find that topic please?
King Saul and answering questions on election I believe
Thanks, I’ll take a look at those.
He said: "The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised."
That's a very biblical way to respond to suffering

Thank you for bringing such great clarity to these beautiful mysteries.
Excellent!
