5 Ways Sleep Glorifies God
Ever since my college days, sleep has been my Achilles’ heel. In college I would stay up late (doing nothing good), catch a few hours of sleep and then push myself to go to class at 9 in the morning across town. Once I started dancing, this only gave me more reasons to stay out late and, when I took my dancing to a professional level I had to stay up late because all the professional events were usually at 11pm or later.
After I retired from competing professionally, I jumped headlong into the rat race of self-employment and stayed up late stressing out over my online business. When I lost my voice for 9 months and had to put everything on hold, I stayed up late consuming entertainment. Eventually all of the borrowing I had done over the course of 20 or so years added up and, to keep it simple, today I see the value of a routine and I really try to make sure I get my sleep.
