Gnosticism from greek 'gnosis' = knowledge; a dated belief that is plastered on posters around suburbs for people to attending meetings that teach rejecting the physical world for secret knowledge. Gospel of Thomas is imaginative, very inconsistent with the Biblical Gospels. It was preceded by Docetism. It does not matter who gave these their names. They were historical beliefs systems, with others often with beliefs about demiurges, etc.

Re Jesus as God, the Jews definitely understood Jesus' claims - in John 5; 8; etc The Jewish leaders understood that Jesus' claimed to be God, the Son of Man as the Divine Judge, etc..... When studied, there is no dispute that Jesus is Lord, not Liar, or Lunatic - to quote C.S.Lewis

Hi Tudor ... when you mentioned the next pope would likely be conservative, do you think 'leo' fits that description? He's american so maybe a sort of joining the the two beasts publicly? 'Hiding' our current reality in plain sight ... love to hear your thoughts now ...

Thank you for sharing the interview, very helpful in practicing our own defence of our faith.
