Many Christians around the world celebrate the birth of Christ on December 25th, but some see all of the traditions and superstitions associated with Christmas as pagan rituals that were absorbed into Christianity.
Disappointed, Tudor. Why are you ok with the celebration of christmas on December 25? You yourself determined Christs birth as around Sept 11 - from the NT - Luke 1:5 etc. Why then coudn't the early Christians trying to determine Christs birthdate, do the same? Why did they end up at a pagan festival date? Influence of Satan is obvious! Since there is no mention AT ALL in the NT of celebrating Christs birth, who put it into the early christians minds to calculate His birthdate? Then influenced them to choose a pagan celebration date? Satan! We should therefore totally reject celebrating on December 25! Ref Jeremiah 10:2~4 & 2 Cor 6:17.

We have to allow Holy Spirit's revelation to each in God's own time, as He works in their hearts. He showed me in the night season years ago, rows of santa's with green demons between them, all ready to march. Needless to say, I never celebrated that day again. (Tried numerous times to share in greater detail but site does not allow.)
At the end of the day, it only matters what God wants, not our feelings. If we can discern that, we will know exactly what to do, and what not to partake of, in order to stay on the narrow road.
I enjoyed this episode. I have Alexander Hislops book in my library for many years now ,but in the last five years I was listening to someone and they were saying the same things about his book as you did in this episode. I've been a Scrooge for most of my adult life ,spewing these things you've discussed about paganism, saturnalia ,etc. I still say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I think you put this in a better perspective than the thoughts I've carried all these years. It's definitely not my my favorite time of the year.
Christmas isn't going to go away. And thanks to the monergistic gospel, I have been more bold this season with sharing the gospel and giving to people outside my family and traditions. It is one of the best times to be open about our faith and what the Bible really has to say. This year, I was asked to share a Christmas message at a ladies Advent tea. What an honor God gave me to proclaim the gospel to many ladies who are not "Christian" or saved yet! Thank you Tudor for this clarifying video. Advent Blessings to everyone.
